IRS Payment of Up to $ 1,800: Who Will Get It and How to Access It.

With the approval of the ‘American Rescue Plan’, millions of families benefited from an increase and advance in credit. Previously, the maximum amount was $ 2,000 per dependent, but this 2021, thanks to the aforementioned economic rescue, the payment was up to $ 3,600, depending on the age of your family's dependents.

In order to make the aid something constant, the total amount of the credit was divided into monthly payments, which run under the administration of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS, for its acronym in English), the tax agency that began to send the money since July.

That said, families with dependents under the age of six were eligible for a one-time payment of $ 3,600 or monthly payments of $ 300, while parents with children between the ages of six and 17 received a one-time payment of $ 3,000 or $ 250 a month.

The deadline to register for December payments was November 15. According to Irma Treviño, IRS spokesperson, if a family registered before that date, then "they will get a payment in December for the total credit they would qualify for in 2021."

That payment could be up to $ 1,800 for each dependent under the age of six, or $ 1,500 for children ages 6 to 17, provided they first signed up in early November or before the 15th of that month.

When will the payment of $ 1,800 arrive?

Like the monthly payments, the payment of $ 1,800 for those who have just signed up for the credit will arrive on December 15, if they have their bank information linked to their tax return, otherwise they will have to wait in order to month to receive the printed check at your mailing address.
